UCLan has exchange agreements with almost 100 universities from around the world. If you are interested in studying at UCLan under one of these agreements, you should contact the International Office at your home university for information about application procedures.


Study Period

You can spend a year or a semester studying at UCLan. Credit gained here may be transferred back to your home institution.

It is advisable to submit your application forms as soon as possible so that you receive all the necessary information in good time before you arrive.

Accommodation


The Student Accommodation Service has an experienced team who are looking forward to welcoming you to Preston and will be available to help you find the right place to live.

There is a wide choice of suitable accommodation in the Preston area. New students may apply for halls of residence on Campus, or from a wide range of Halls of Residence, houses, flats and lodgings offered by private landlords under the University’s registered private accommodation scheme.

Although there is no specific application deadline it is advisable to submit your application forms as soon as possible so that you receive all the necessary information in good time before you arrive.

As accommodation is issued on a first come, first served basis it is sensible to submit your application as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Financial aid

Direct entry students from the USA that need financial aid applications certifying can contact Jackie Maudsley at jmaudsley@uclan.ac.uk for help and information. When filling out your FAFSA and promissory note please include UCLAN's school code which is 035153. To find out how to apply for Financial Aid please go to the British Council website.
