International Student Exchange Programme

ISEP-Exchanges allow students from UCLan to exchange places at other universities that are members of the ISEP programme. Exchanges can be semester or year long. There are two types of ISEP-Exchanges:

1) US-International ISEP-Exchanges are available for students that wish to spend a year or a semester in the USA. Click here for a list of participating US institutions.

2) International-to-International ISEP-Exchanges are available for students who wish to spend a year or a semester in a country other than the USA. International-to-International ISEP-Exchanges allows students to switch places around the world, while only paying their regular tuition fees to UCLan.

Applications for the various types of ISEP exchange can be downloaded from the 'How to apply' section of the ISEP website.

If you wish to take part in an ISEP exchange you need to fill out the application form with references, a personal statement of why you want to go and provide a copy of your A level results or other entry qualifications that you obtained before you came to UCLan. The closing date for ISEP applications is January 31st for Full year (September to May) and Semester 1 (September-January) applications and September 1st for Semester 2 (January to May) applications.

How much does it cost?

To make your exchange more affordable you pay UCLan the fee for housing and meals for the incoming exchange student, therefore you won’t be required to pay these costs to your host institution. You also pay your tuition fees directly to UCLan and if you go to the USA, Mexico or Australia for the full academic year you only pay half your UCLan tuition fees.
